Dr. Brigitte White is a dentist, author, and founder redefining what women’s oral wellness can be. Originally from Philadelphia, she earned her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in Public Policy and International Affairs and her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she now serves as Outreach Chair on the Penn Dental Alumni Executive Board.
With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. White built a thriving career as a cosmetic and restorative dentist, known for her precision, empathy, and leadership. She owned and operated her solo practice, BrightWhites Dental in Northern Virginia, where she cared for patients across all life stages, from newborn oral care to advanced restorative solutions for aging smiles.
Her career began in the operatory: restoring teeth, managing complex cases, and leading a practice through years of growth and reinvention. But her true work took shape in the moments dentistry rarely talks about: pumping milk between patients, managing fibroids, navigating hyperemesis, recovering from loss, and treating women whose oral symptoms shifted with stress, cycles, and life stages. Those patterns became the foundation for what she now calls The Hormonal Mouth™, her signature framework connecting women’s hormones, health, and oral ecosystems.
Dr. White blends clinical expertise with a background in writing, coalition-building, and product innovation, having worked in Big Pharma adjacent spaces before launching her own line, Bright Whites Oral Care, a fruit-forward, fluoride-free, nano-hydroxyapatite brand designed for women who want oral care that feels as good as it works.
Today, Dr. White speaks on women’s oral health, founderhood, burnout in dentistry, and innovation outside the dental industrial complex, bringing clarity and candor to topics often overlooked in traditional healthcare. Her work sits at the intersection of science, story, and lived experience, with one mission: to help women understand their mouths, trust their bodies, and smile differently.
Beyond her brand and speaking work, Dr. White is a published author and essayist, writing about oral health equity, midlife reinvention, and the emotional intelligence of dentistry. Her research on Olfaction and Gustatory Function appeared in the Annals of Neurology, and her creative works, including the young adult novel All-American and a series of children’s oral care books are available on Amazon. She is also the founder of The Black Dental Reserve, a coalition of Black dental professionals dedicated to mentorship, collaboration, and advancing representation across the field.
When she’s not building Bright Whites or speaking on panels, Dr. White can be found writing essays on Substack, developing tools for midlife oral wellness, and amplifying a new conversation. One where women’s health is centered, not siloed.
